Welcome to Villa Elea

a luxuriously remodeled traditional house with private pool and sweeping sea view in Tinos

Stunning setting, breathtaking view

Villa Elea is a spacious two-floor, four-bedroom villa in a private estate, located in the island of Tinos, Greece.

It is the perfect place to enjoy the brilliant Greek sun and cool Aegean breeze, lapping in the large, private 9x5m freshwater pool, relaxing on the sun beds, or sitting back under the shade of the comfortable outdoor lounges.

The view from Villa Elea is magnificent: bluest Aegean sea and sky from end to end, framed by the whitewashed houses of the village, iconic blue-domed churches, and austere barren hills.

Spacious and comfortable

Villa Elea resides in a private estate with a spacious garden. It is the ideal setting for a holiday with friends or family, as there are many large dining and seating areas for socializing and a number of quiet corners where you can tuck away to spend some alone time, too.

Well-equipped, with all modern comforts, the Villa exudes the intimate, familiar aura of a cozy, comfortable house. Our extensive list of amenities and the care we put into all the little everyday details will make you feel right at home.

Distinctive style, luxurious details

A characteristic example of traditional Tinos architecture, this one-of-a-kind house is stylish and distinctive, in complete harmony with the land and its history. The entire Villa has been restored and remodeled with love and care, transforming a historic home into a luxurious retreat. Modern and practical living spaces, such as the fully equipped modern kitchen, marble bathrooms, and dining area with fireplace, have been carefully furnished and decorated with original artwork, antique furniture, and deluxe hand-carved marble details.

Perfect location

Villa Elea is very conveniently located in a quiet traditional village just 10' from Tinos town. Our village, Ktikados, is blessed with picturesque, meandering cobbled streets where no vehicles are allowed, perfect for leisurely walks. Two wonderful tavernas with homecooked local food are just a stroll away. The village's proximity to the main town and port and many of the island's attractions make it an ideal starting point to explore the wonderful, authentic island of Tinos.

Enjoy the Greek sun

in the spacious private pool and comfortable outdoor lounges

Between the pool lounge and bar, the terrace lounge and dining area with the magnificent view, the shady dining area on the ground floor terrace, the fragrant garden, the cosy reading nook, and the many terraces, you will have a hard time choosing a favorite outdoor spot.

Enjoy the cool shade of the ground floor patio over breakfast under the vivid color of the bougainvillea; climb with your book into the cool of the reading nook at midday; then enjoy lunch on the first floor terrace dining area while taking in the iconic view.

Bathed in brilliant sunlight, our large, 9x5m freshwater pool with its crystal-clear blue water beckons you to dive right in. Relax on the sun beds, sip a refreshing drink at the pool mini-bar, or sit back under the shade of the poolside lounge.

Throughout the day, the scent of the Mediterranean will captivate you as you stroll through the organic garden, fragrant with figs, lemons, vines, lavender, flowers and local herbs, where you can enjoy the relaxing village quiet. Pick your own tomatoes, peppers, figs, grapes and apricots, and savor the delicious homegrown flavors.

When the colors of the sunset fade into night, sit back and unwind on the terrace lounge, gazing at the twinkling lights of Syros in the distance, with only the sounds of nature around you and the starriest sky above.

Relax and unwind

in a comfortable space for eight people

Villa Elea can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people. The main Villa has two king-size-bed master bedrooms overlooking the Aegean sea on the first floor. Additionally, there are two guest houses on the ground floor looking on to the garden, each with their own bathroom and separate entrance: the Green guesthouse, with a king-size double bed, and the Golden guesthouse, with two standard single beds.

The Villa buildings are spacious and kept naturally cool by 3-feet-wide stone walls that retain the cool temperature of the night winds to protect against the heat of the day. The massive walls are crowned by majestic "volta", the characteristic tall stonemasonry arches, that give the house its unmistakable personality.

Traditional architecture

a historic home, restored and remodeled with love

The perfect location

in a quiet traditional village

The village of Ktikados, home of Villa Elea, will captivate you with its Cycladic charm. It is a traditional settlement, with houses dating back to the 17th century, and no vehicles are allowed here. The traditional look of the village is protected by strict building laws and regulations. Picturesque whitewashed houses and blue domed churches line narrow labyrinthine streets, perfect for leisurely walks.

The smell of home-cooked Greek food wafting through the streets will have your mouth watering. Follow your nose to either of the two local tavernas, Agnanti and Drosia, arguably two of the best tavernas on the island - just a 5-minute walk away from the Villa.

Ktikados is conveniently located just a 10-minute car ride away from Tinos Town (or Chora), the main town and port of Tinos, where you will find everything you need. The closest beach is just 12 minutes away, while many of the island's attractions are but a short drive away. Due to its proximity to the town and the mainland too, it the ideal starting point to explore the island's many wonders.

Villa Elea is one of the very few villas located inside a village, offering you unparalleled safety and convenience.

Getting to Tinos

off the beaten track, yet easy to reach

Even though Tinos island has no airport, it is easily accessible. The easiest option is to land at the International Airport of the cosmopolitan island of Mykonos, then catch a quick speedboat or ferry ride to Tinos.

Alternatively, you can land at the Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos", get to the port of Rafina or Piraeus by taxi or bus, and then take a speedboat or ferry to the island.

Please note that ferry itineraries for the summer are announced in late spring, so even though you may not find an available route at a given time, you can be sure that as long as your flight lands before noon there will be a connecting ferry you can take on the same day.

If you need more information or advice on your travel itinerary, please don't hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to help.

Discover Tinos

an authentic, unspoiled Greek island

The island of Tinos is an amazing place to visit, authentic and unspoiled, with little tourism even in the height of summer. There are more than 50 whitewashed villages to explore, ancient sites to visit, beautiful pristine beaches with very few people even during the summer months, a lot of outdoors activities to choose from (swimming, surfing, diving, mountain climbing, bouldering, hiking, horseback riding) and, of course, the food is delicious - the local cuisine is so flavorful and authentic that it has made Tinos into a top gastronomic destination.

Don't forget to check out our little Guide to Tinos for tips, recommendations, and inspiration!
